Digital Governance Maturity Assessment
Digitally mature companies are 23% more profitable than their less mature peers.
Fewer than 33% of organizations expect to realize data and analytics return on investment in the first two years of program operation
“The W5H framework was a really important process to set realistic expectations with executives on measurement targets for the new program”
The Challenge
Although organizations embark on a governance initiative with the best of intentions, they frequently do not have accurate or detailed expectations of the realistic results that are achievable in the short- to mid-term. This is because they lack a benchmark of relevant organizational knowledge around existing and potential data-driven capabilities.
The Solution
The principals of DigitalOpz have compiled a comprehensive set of questions that cover an organization’s “Digital Story” – our W5H assessment questionnaire (Who, What, Why, When, Where, and How). Each question has been scored and weighted to reflect the projected impact on the potential success of a Digital Governance Program.
The Process
It provides a series of questions, targeting both IT and Business components which will help to identify strengths and gaps that will help DGF program leaders create the right plan to establish and expand the initiative. Once this benchmark has been established, the process is repeated annually to measure and report on progress within the organization.
The Value
The DGMA provides organizations with knowledge about their internal capabilities that is critical for program planning. It allows program leaders to set accurate expectations with business sponsors regarding the amount of investment required and the projected results aligned to program cycles executed over the first 12-24 months.
